Job description

We are looking for a full-time BC/BE pediatrician to join our well-respected, physician-owned private practice near New Haven in Ansonia, CT, with a strong affiliation with Yale New Haven Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to our expanding patient base.

About the Opportunity:

1. Collaborative Practice: Join a supportive and collegial "family-style" environment where teamwork is valued, supported by experienced staff.
2. Flexible Schedule: Typically 4-5 days per week (Monday-Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM) with shared Saturday coverage (9 AM - 12 PM, rotating approximately 1 in 3).
3. Comprehensive Patient Care: Provide pediatric care to a diverse population, from newborns to 25 years old, including shared newborn rounding at Yale New Haven and Griffin Hospitals.
4. Academic Involvement: Opportunity to teach medical students through Yale's program, if interested.
5. Manageable Patient Volume & Autonomy: Average of 25-30 patients per day, with 20-minute well-child/physical exams and 10-15 minute sick visits, supported by a flexible ramp-up period.
6. Hospital Affiliations & Efficient Call System: Admitting privileges at Yale New Haven and Griffin Hospitals; primarily phone-based call system managed via an answering service.
