Qualifications

• Master of Science Degree in Nursing is required.
• New York State RN licensure with FNP certification is required.
• BCLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary care services to individuals and families; manage own patient panel and see walk-in patients as needed.
• Document all care provided in patients' medical records.
• Develop and manage patient care panels with participation in managed care programs and other direct patient care programs as applicable.
• Review daily laboratory and radiology reports to identify abnormal results; contact patients for follow-up and notify primary providers.
• Participate in departmental and Family Medicine educational activities for medical students and allied health professional students.
• Participate in hospital and departmental health fairs and community education events; speak to community groups when requested.

Education

Master of Science Degree in Nursing.

New York State Registered Nurse Licensure with Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP).

BCLS certification.
