The Division of Child Neurology in the Department of Pediatrics

The Division of Child Neurology in the Department of Pediatrics, Joe R. & Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine at UT Health San Antonio, is recruiting an academic faculty position as an Assistant or Associate Professor/Clinical to fill a full-time Child Neurologist.

Child Neurology / Child Neurology Subspecialist

The ideal candidate would be an American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology board-certified, Child Neurologist with additional training/experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Ped Neurointensive Care
• Pediatric Vascular Neurology
• Neuroimmunology
• Neurogenetics

A general child neurologist will also be considered.

The selected individual will join a division of child neurology consisting of 8 full-time Faculty Physicians and Nurse Practitioners. UT Health San Antonio has a comprehensive level IV epilepsy surgery program, bedside continuous video EEG monitoring, and monitored beds in the PICU and PACU. Adding to the neuroscience infrastructure is the University’s Research Imaging Institute (RII), which has as its mission to perform basic, clinical, and translational research using non‑invasive, biomedical imaging methods for measuring the structure and function of living organisms. At RII, Neuroscience research is given the highest priority. Faculty members have clinical, academic, and educational responsibilities at the University Hospital‑based clinic.
