Job summary

MaineHealth Pediatrics – Brunswick is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support pediatric providers. You will assist with patient care, perform clinical tasks, and help maintain a smooth clinic workflow. Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Certification as MA by AAMA/NHA/AMT/NCCT required (with exemptions for certain MaineHealth conditions).
• Current BLS certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of start date.
• Six months MA experience or one year in a MaineHealth Clinical Team role.
• NH Med Tech License or NH EMT and National Registry EMT license required for NH roles.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms and assist providers during patient visits.
• Collect vital signs, medical histories, and document patient information.
• Administer immunizations and perform basic lab tests as directed.
• Educate families on health management and follow-up care.
• Ensure clinic compliance with safety and infection control standards.
• Support front office tasks as needed.
