Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year Medical Assistant experience in a medical setting and nationally recognized MA certification (NAHP/NCCT/AAMA/AMT/NHA).
• Experience with Epic EMR is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare examination rooms and sterilize equipment.
• Room patients, obtain health history, check vitals and perform EKGs.
• Administer injections and collect specimens.
• Document patient care using electronic medical record software.
• Schedule appointments, process referrals, handle prior authorizations, manage refills.
• Assist physicians and mid-level providers with in-office procedures.
