PeaceHealth in Oregon is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant - Pediatrics (0.80 FTE) to support our pediatric care team. You will prepare patients, assist providers, and perform routine duties within the scope of practice for a Medical Assistant.

The position emphasizes exam readiness, patient history taking, vital signs, phlebotomy or injections as directed, and data entry in the EMR. Strong collaboration and compassionate patient care are essential.

Qualifikationen

• Accredited Medical Assistant program or MOA pathway.
• National Medical Assistant Certification per Oregon/Alaska requirements.
• Basic Life Support on hire.
• Ability to protect patient privacy and confidentiality.
• Ability to collaborate with multi-disciplinary team.
• Proficiency with computers and office equipment; familiarity with billing is a plus.
• Strong time management and prioritization abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge of asepsis principles.

Aufgaben

• Prepare patients for examinations and treatments.
• Take patient history and vital signs.
• Prepare exam/treatment rooms and supplies.
• Administer injections and wound care as directed.
• Maintain supplies and sterilize equipment.
• Assist with scheduling tests and follow-up visits.
• Maintain patient records in the EMR.
• Provide phone screening to clinical staff when needed.
• Collaborate with staff across departments to ensure smooth clinic operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
