Job summary

Aurora Medical Group (AMG), part of Advocate Health, is seeking a Medical Assistant in Downers Grove, IL, to support providers and ensure a seamless, compassionate patient experience across ambulatory care. This role works Mon-Fri 8:00am-5:00pm with one late evening weekly and a monthly Saturday clinic.

You will take vital signs, assist during exams, document in the EHR, and help with phlebotomy when needed. Travel to Naperville may be required for coverage.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must have a medical assistant diploma or 2 years of medical assistant experience or be a certified MA with 2 years of medical assistant experience, to qualify.
• Phlebotomy skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and support their transition into care.
• Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and health screenings.
• Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures.
• Administer medications and vaccines as directed.
• Perform lab-related tasks including specimen collection and point-of-care testing.
• Document care accurately in the electronic health record.
• Partner with physicians, nurses, and teammates to deliver high-quality, coordinated care.
