Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduation certificate from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Competency validation required in a practice acquisition.
• Minimum six months front/back medical office experience.
• Two years of front/back office experience preferred.
• California driver’s license if Float Pool.
• Ability to maintain composure in fast-paced settings and communicate effectively.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, infection control and patient safety.
• Current AHA BLS certification.
• Strong computer skills and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care tasks under general supervision.
• Float between departments as needed and travel when required.
• Process outside referrals (HMO/PPO) and notify concerned parties of outcomes.
• Maintain accurate records and update relevant systems (EHR) as required.
