Job summary

Dignity Health Medical Foundation seeks a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our California outpatient team. You will provide direct patient care, assess conditions, administer medications, and document treatments while collaborating with RNs and physicians to support individualized care plans.

The role requires CA LVN licensure, BLS CPR, and strong interpersonal and organizational skills for high-quality patient experiences in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid California LVN license and CPR certification.
• Completion of an accredited LVN program as required by state regulations.
• Minimum of three years experience in outpatient LVN care or similar setting.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational and customer service skills.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and coding references (CPT/ICD-9) is preferred.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), you will provide vital direct patient care, significantly contributing to patient well-being and recovery as an integral part of our compassionate healthcare team.

Job Requirements

Required

• High School Diploma or GED


• Satisfactory completion of a formal Licensed Vocational Nurse program pursuant to the Division of Allied Health Professions or military training that is equivalent to an accredited Licensed Vocational Nurse program (Determination made by Dignity Health Medical Foundation H.R. department in conjunction with the State Division) of Allied Health Professions.)


• Three (3) years experience in an outpatient setting as a Licensed Vocational Nurse


• Current and valid Licensed Vocational Nurse: CA license (LVN:CA)


• Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS-CPR) certification from the American Heart Association


• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills are essential.


• Knowledge of medical terminology, familiarity with CPT and ICD-9 coding procedures and reference tools, and pharmacology appropriate to the Licensed Vocational Nurse scope of practice is essential to this position

Preferred

• Familiarity with an electronic practice management system
