Job summary

Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (Pediatrics) to provide direct nursing care to pediatric patients under RN/Provider supervision. You will document in the electronic medical record, teach patients and families, and coordinate care with the healthcare team.

The role requires an active LPN license in the state of employment and BLS prior to orientation. Full-time position with varied shifts and 0.90 FTE, located at Hershey, PA.

Qualifications

• Currently licensed to practice as a licensed practical nurse by state of employment or holds a multistate LPN license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required prior to completion of orientation.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and individualized nursing care to assigned patients under the direction of a registered nurse or provider.
• Observe, report and record medical information and nursing care in the EMR.
• Instruct patients and families according to teaching plans.
• Communicate with the healthcare team to facilitate coordination of patient care.
