Job summary

Carilion Clinic in Roanoke, VA seeks a Clinical Associate for the Pediatrics ICU FLEX unit. You will perform basic clinical tasks and provide clerical support to the health-care team, with a day/evening/night shift, every other weekend, and rotating holidays.

Qualifications

• Education: High school graduate or GED.
• Experience: none.
• Licensure: CNA if required for Critical Access Area.
• Life Support: AHA BLS-HCP required.
• Good interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills; organized and self-motivated.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic clinical services and clerical support to the unit health-care team.
• Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges and coordinate patient flow.
• Schedule procedures and operate/maintain unit software and equipment.
• Transport patients and supplies; support with chart audits and sitter processes.
• Support department staff scheduling and maintain a clean, compliant area.
