Riley Children's Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition Division is seeking a Pediatric Gastroenterologist physician scientist with a significant research background and publications in high-impact basic/translational research. The division comprises board-certified pediatric gastroenterologists and skilled team members providing expert, personalized care to children with digestive tract, liver, and pancreas conditions, as well as nutritional issues. Our team aims to improve health and quality of life through patient-focused clinical care, research, and medical education. We perform over 2,700 endoscopies and manage more than 16,000 outpatient visits annually.

Position Details:

1. 80% research, 20% clinical: Conduct basic and translational research, teach clinical medicine, and perform clinical duties in GI and hepatology, particularly transplant hepatology.
2. Opportunities for research in various areas of Pediatric GI with the expectation to secure independent funding.
3. Clinical procedures include upper and lower diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy.
4. Care for patients at Riley Hospital for Children in downtown Indianapolis.

Qualifications:

1. Completion of ABMS pediatric residency & pediatric gastroenterology fellowship.
2. Board Certified/Eligible in Pediatrics & Pediatric Gastroenterology.
3. Physician MD/DO licensed or eligible for licensure in Indiana.
4. Significant research background with publications in high-impact basic/translational research.
