Boston Medical Center in Boston, MA seeks a Pediatrics Data Analyst to analyze large datasets and provide statistical insights for quality improvement and program design. Responsibilities include SAS programming, data cleaning, descriptive analyses, and developing surveys in REDCap.

The role collaborates with the NeoQIC director and senior project manager to deliver actionable data for clinical and financial initiatives, requiring strong presentation skills and proficiency in Excel and database

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required with 3 years of data collection/analysis experience or Master’s Degree with 1 year of relevant experience.
• Advanced statistical courses (2) can substitute for 1 year of experience.

Responsabilités

• Assists with data presentations for abstracts, manuscripts, and presentations.
• Develops and administers surveys in REDCap with NeoQIC director and senior project manager.
• Provides data and information to network partners using Excel, PowerPoint, and other tools.
• Conducts literature searches and synthesizes information as requested.
• Contributes to dissemination through conferences and manuscripts.

Position Summary

Analyze large amounts of data, supplying statistical information, interpreting data, managing data and providing technical support to help the department allocate resources, measure performance, and help design new programs, facilities and systems. Typically involves Quality Assurance/Improvement, Database Management, and streamlining data collection processes. May oversee and coordinate research projects as well as statistical tests and programs.

Essential Responsibilities / Duties

• Performs a variety of duties related to data management, and analysis including: SAS programming, dataset cleaning, descriptive analyses, regression modeling, power calculations, creation of SPC comparative reports in QI on a regular basis
• Assists with data presentations needed in abstracts, manuscript preparation and presentations.
• Works jointly with the NeoQIC director and senior project manager to develop and administer surveys in REDCAP.
• Provides data and information to network partners in a readily accessible, understandable and actionable manner using tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, and other tools as needed.
• Conducts literature searches using web-based search engines and other reference tools and synthesizes information in requested formats.
• Assists in the dissemination of project and specific study-related information through conferences and presentations and contributes to the methods and results sections of manuscripts for peer review.
• Collaborates across the department to support financial initiatives, including outpatient, inpatient, and Emergency Department (ED) data analytics.
• Performs other duties as assigned and/or necessary.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's Degree required, plus three years of experience with data collection, analysis, and/or program evaluation; or
• Master's Degree in a healthcare field plus one year of relevant experience.
• Advanced statistical courses (2) can be substituted for one year of relevant experience

Knowledge And Skills

• Proficiency with MS Suite (Excel /Minitab /Visio /Access/Word /Outlook/PowerPoint).
• Support BACO metrics
• Must have experience in statistical analysis and interpreting data from analytic studies.
• Comfortable presenting in group settings
• Experience interacting with database environments (e.g. SQL, MS Access, Oracle) is a plus.
• Strong conceptual and analytical skills; able to interpret and apply statistical techniques, and effective communication skills to explain methods and findings to non-statistician team members and audiences.
• Ability to work independently and to set priorities while managing several projects simultaneously; strong attention to detail is essential.

Compensation Range

$62,500.00- $91,000.00

NOTE: This range is based on Boston-area data, and is subject to modification based on geographic location.
