Job summary

Ridgecrest Regional Hospital in Ridgecrest, CA seeks a Certified Medical Assistant to support the Pediatrics team with patient-centered care. You will help manage patient flow, coordinate with a diverse team, and ensure accurate records for insured and uninsured patients.

Responsibilities include processing payments, maintaining records, and assisting other departments as needed, with a focus on confidentiality and professional conduct.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred
• CMA certification by AAMA/AMT/CCBMA
• Experience as Medical Assistant in healthcare setting preferred
• Ability to read, write, understand and communicate effectively in English
• Proficient in basic clerical tasks and computer software
• AccuReg accuracy 80% probation; 90% thereafter
• BLS certification required and maintained
• Maturity, sound judgment, and ability to work independently
• Service excellence with patients, families, and coworkers

Responsibilities

• Support smooth and efficient patient flow during Pediatrics clinic hours
• Provide excellent service to patients, families, and coworkers
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
• Accept and post insurance co-pays in EMR
• Utilize basic clerical and computer skills, including telemedicine support
• Ensure accuracy in AccuReg documentation
• Work collaboratively and flexibly across teams and departments
