Job summary

CoxHealth is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse at the Turner Center in Springfield, MO. The role involves administrative duties (phones, scheduling, data entry) and clinical care (vital signs, patient prep, medication administration) in a fast-paced ambulatory clinic.

Ideal candidates will have a formal MA program and externship, with strong communication and computer skills. Preference given to those with outpatient clinic experience and MO licensure. Turner Center operates daytime hours.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a formal MA training program with pharmacology, anatomy/physiology, and externship.
• Preference for prior health care or ambulatory clinic experience.
• Proficiency in computer skills and strong verbal/written communication.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones, schedule appointments, and enter data in medical records.
• Take and record vital signs, collect demographics, review medication lists, prepare patients for examination, and maintain rooms/equipment.
• Administer medications as ordered by the physician under supervision.
• Carry out delegated tasks and support provider supervision as directed.
