Position Overview

Sanford Children’s Hospital and the University of South Dakota Sanford School of Medicine are seeking a BE/BE Child Abuse Pediatrician.

  • This full-time position offers opportunities in inpatient and outpatient clinical child abuse practice, teaching, prevention, research, and community involvement within a multidisciplinary team.
  • The successful candidate will be based at Child’s Voice, an NCA-accredited hospital-based Child Advocacy Center, evaluating over 1400 patients annually. Sanford Children's Hospital is the only free-standing children’s hospital in South Dakota.
  • Applicants must be BC/BE in child abuse pediatrics with excellent clinical skills in child abuse assessment within a multidisciplinary setting.
  • The program currently includes the pediatric medical director, BC CAP, a PA, a NP, forensic interviewers, nurses, support staff, and family advocates.
  • While clinical service is the primary focus, candidates should also have an interest or experience in education and/or research.
