Kaiser Permanente / The Permanente Medical Group in Roseville, CA seeks a Child Abuse Pediatrician to deliver subspecialty consultation across outpatient, inpatient, and ED settings. The role supports regional providers and partners with social workers and program managers in a collaborative environment.

Ideal candidates are board-certified/board-eligible in Child Abuse Pediatrics with CA licensure eligibility and willingness to teleconsult.

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Child Abuse Pediatrics with ability to consult across disciplines.
• Eligibility to obtain a CA medical license or current CA license required.
• Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and community partners preferred.

Responsibilities

• Join a team of two physicians and a regional nurse case manager.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including social worker, medical assistant, and program manager.
• Partner with medical center workflow and county agencies; refer evidentiary child sexual abuse exams.
• Provide on-call consultation (phone or in-person) outside regular hours as needed.
• Teleconsultation availability and potential travel as the position grows.

CHILD ABUSE PEDIATRICIAN

Opening in Roseville, California

QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WILL BE COMFORTABLE WITH:

• Providing subspecialty consultation for cases of suspected child maltreatment

• Availability for TCS and to support outpatient, inpatient, and ED providers across the region

• Improving outcomes for our pediatric members and increasing the quality of care for patients being evaluated for suspected child maltreatment

• Teleconsultation and ability to travel as the position grows

THIS POSITION WILL INVOLVE:

• Joining a team of two existing physicians and a regional nurse case manager

• Working closely with a local interdisciplinary team that includes a dedicated social worker, medical assistant, and program manager

• Collaboration with physician child abuse champions and their teams at each medical center and acting as a partner with medical center workflow

• Association with certain county agencies

• Externally referring evidentiary child sexual abuse exams

• Availability for on-call consultation (phone, in-person) outside of regular clinic hours to be shared with CASP physician team

Minimum Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Child Abuse Pediatrics or substantial clinical experience in Child Abuse Pediatrics, including consultation and multidisciplinary collaboration

• Must be eligible to obtain a CA medical license or be currently licensed to practice within CA
