Job summary

International SOS Government Medical Services seeks a Pediatrician to provide preventive, acute, and ongoing care for patients from infancy through young adulthood at clinics in the Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, and Suffolk area.

You will see routine exams, immunizations, and manage acute and chronic conditions, while guiding pediatric residents and staff. The role offers Friday-Sunday shifts (7:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.) with meal breaks, and includes weekend/holiday incentives plus CEU reimbursement.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with ACGME residency and US/Canada medical degree.
• Full, current unrestricted pediatric license in the US/DC.
• Board certification in Pediatrics or recent residency; results within 1 week.
• BLS and PALS certifications required.
• Two letters from supervisor and from a clinic/hospital administrator.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat pediatric patients across routine, acute, and chronic care needs; provide exams, immunizations, and counseling.
• Evaluate and manage developmental, learning, and behavioral concerns; document and report concerns as needed.
• Perform or supervise procedures, provide teaching to residents and staff.
• Respond to emergencies per protocols and maintain accurate documentation.
• Participate in peer review, performance improvement, and clinical education activities.
