The Metro RDTC in Newark is one of New Jersey’s four state-designated multidisciplinary centers for evaluating and treating abused and neglected children. We primarily serve children and families in Essex County. Our team of physicians, social workers, and psychologists are experts in child maltreatment, providing compassionate medical and psychosocial services for suspected victims of all types of abuse and neglect, including physical, sexual, emotional abuse, and trauma.
We work closely with the Division of Child Protection and Permanency (DCP&P), county prosecutor’s offices, the Office of the Public Defender, hospitals, physicians, courts, community groups, and organizations dedicated to restoring the health and well-being of abused and neglected children across New Jersey.
