Community Health of Central Washington’s Yakima Pediatrics division seeks a Site Medical Director to lead pediatric care and drive clinical excellence across the system.

You will partner with the CMO/COO, standardize protocols, recruit staff, and shape policies while maintaining a hands-on clinical practice and dedicated SMD time in a collaborative, teaching-focused environment serving the Yakima community.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree and board eligibility in pediatrics.
• WA license or ability to obtain WA license required.
• DEA certificate and board certification (BE/BC) required.
• Credentialing with Medicare/Medicaid and health plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, direction, and vision as Site Medical Director.
• Standardize pediatric clinical protocols and workflows across CHCW.
• Recruit clinical staff and oversee site onboarding processes.
• Work with CMO/COO on clinical issues and policies.

Founded by our Central WA Family Medicine Residency program (CWFM) in 1993, CHCW has grown into an integrated community health center to include full spectrum primary care, pediatric, senior residential care, behavioral and addiction care, and dental serving the Yakima and Kittitas Counties at multiple sites.

Yakima Pediatrics needs a Pediatrician to oversee all aspects of pediatric medical care and delivery in this leadership role at our large, single specialty practice. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

• As a key member of CHCW Management Team, the Site Medical Director (SMD) provides leadership, direction, vision, and executes the organizational strategic plan, growth and expansion of services, participates in medical decision-making, and development of policies
• Collaborates on standardization of pediatric clinical protocols and workflows across the organization
• Participates in the recruitment of clinical staff and assists with site specific onboarding process
• Works closely with CMO and COO to provide direction regarding all clinical issues
• Collaborates with the clinic manager regarding general operations of the clinic
• Maintains a clinical practice with dedicated time for SMD responsibilities and meetings

ON-SITE SUPPORT

• Pharmacy on site

• Clinical Support: 1-1.5:1 MAs, Pediatric RNs, after-hours nurse triage, and case managers
• Providers: Great blend of new grads, tenured pediatricians, and pediatric nurse practitioners

COMPENSATION & PERKS

• Base Salary: $225,000-$267,400.Salary range is based on encounters per patient clinic days (18-26 tier level), Site Medical Director oversight, and experience. Additional incentive for meeting quality/engagement goals

QUALIFICATIONS

• MD/DO degree or IMG equivalent
• Completion of an accredited US Pediatric Residency
• 2 years prior experience as a Pediatrician is required
• Prior leadership roles are highly desirable
• WA License or the ability to obtain a WA license
• DEA certificate
• BE/BC required
• Approved for credentialing with Medicare, Medicaid, and health plans
