Job description

Arizona Pediatrician Opportunity in West Phoenix, AZ

We are seeking a Pediatrician to join our growing team of Pediatric Physicians providing comprehensive primary healthcare services through the identification, management, and referral of health problems, as well as health maintenance, preventive care, and health promotion. The role involves performing varied assignments with minimal guidance, in accordance with clinic practices and procedures.

Position Responsibilities
  • Report to the Regional Medical Director
  • Provide accessible health services to patients within your credentialed scope
  • Educate and communicate effectively with patients regarding diagnosis, treatment, preventive measures, and healthcare system navigation
  • Deliver treatment based on clinical impressions and working diagnoses
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and complete electronic medical record entries
  • Transfer information appropriately for continuity of care
  • Evaluate patients professionally and courteously in a timely manner
  • Complete all documentation necessary for billing
  • Familiarity with EPSDT statutes, immunization schedules, and contraindications
  • Promote excellent customer service to both external and internal customers
  • Consult, refer, and collaborate with other healthcare disciplines
  • Advise management on performance issues of medical auxiliary personnel
  • Perform duties of other clinical personnel as needed
  • Participate in rotating call for emergencies during evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Attend CME programs (up to 40 hours/year) and maintain credentialing and privileging
Essential Skills and Experience
  • Graduate of an accredited medical school
  • Completion of an accredited U.S. Pediatric Residency
  • Board certified or eligible
  • Valid Arizona medical license and DEA certificate
  • Current BLS certification
  • Understanding of clinical methods and techniques
  • Effective communication skills
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in English
  • Valid AZ driver’s license

  • CPR and AED certification following AHA and Red Cross guidelines
  • Valid Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card from the Arizona Department of Public Safety
Nonessential Skills and Experience
  • Three years of community health experience
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred)
  • Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHRs)
