Role Description This full-time, on-site Pediatrician role is based in Decatur, AL and supports an established practice serving Lawrence County families. The Pediatrician will provide comprehensive primary care for infants, children, and adolescents, including routine checkups, immunizations, and management of acute and chronic conditions. Daily responsibilities include conducting patient examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, developing treatment plans, and counseling families on preventive care and healthy development. The role also involves collaborating closely with other physicians and healthcare professionals, coordinating care with hospital services, and maintaining accurate, timely medical documentation. Participation in practice meetings, quality initiatives, and community health activities is expected.
Qualifications

• Strong clinical knowledge and experience in Medicine and Primary Care focused on pediatric populations.
• Demonstrated expertise in Pediatrics, including well-child care, developmental assessment, and management of common childhood illnesses.
• Exposure to or familiarity with Neonatology, including care of newborns and coordination with neonatal services when needed.
• Ability to work effectively with Physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.
• Board certification or board eligibility in Pediatrics; current, unrestricted medical license (or ability to obtain) in Alabama.
• Excellent communication skills with children, families, and colleagues, and commitment to equitable, culturally sensitive care.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills, with comfort using electronic health record systems.
• Willingness to participate in call coverage as appropriate for the practice and hospital, and engagement in ongoing professional development.
