Espresso Recruiting, LLC is seeking a full-time, on-site Pediatrician for a Lake Charles, LA practice. You will deliver comprehensive medical care to infants, children, and adolescents, including preventive care and vaccinations, while coordinating with physicians and the care team to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualified candidates hold an MD/DO with board eligibility in Pediatrics, Louisiana licensure, and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical care to infants, children, and adolescents through exams, diagnoses, and treatment of common and complex pediatric conditions.
• Coordinate preventive care including vaccinations and routine checkups with the care team.
• Review tests, develop treatment plans, and educate families on child development, safety, nutrition, and disease prevention.
• Maintain accurate medical records and participate in practice meetings and quality-improvement initiatives.

Job description

Role Description: This full-time, on-site Pediatrician role is based in Lake Charles, LA and involves providing comprehensive medical care to infants, children, and adolescents. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting patient examinations, diagnosing and treating common and complex pediatric conditions, and managing preventive care such as vaccinations and routine checkups. The Pediatrician will collaborate closely with other physicians and healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care, review test results, and develop treatment plans. Additional tasks include educating families on child development, safety, nutrition, and disease prevention, maintaining accurate medical records, and adhering to regulatory, ethical, and quality-of-care standards. The role also involves participating in practice meetings, contributing to process improvements, and supporting a patient-centered, inclusive care environment.

Qualifications

• Solid foundation in Medicine and Primary Care, with the ability to manage a wide range of pediatric health concerns.
• Strong clinical expertise in Pediatrics, including preventive care, acute care, and chronic disease management for children and adolescents.
• Experience or training in Neonatology, with skills in caring for newborns and coordinating care for infants with special medical needs.
• Demonstrated ability in Working with Physicians and interdisciplinary care teams to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care.
• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
• Board certification or board eligibility in Pediatrics; active or eligible Louisiana medical license.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust with patients, families, and colleagues.
• Commitment to patient safety, evidence-based practice, and maintaining accurate, timely medical documentation.
• Ability to work on-site full time in Metairie, LA and adapt to the needs of a busy clinical environment.
