Job summary

Akron Children’s is seeking a Pediatrician in Emergency Medicine to provide family-centered care for acutely ill and injured infants, children and teens in the Beeghly Emergency Department. The department handles a high patient volume in a state-of-the-art 35,000‑square‑foot space with 23 treatment rooms and collaborates with the Akron campus as a Level 1 trauma center.

The selected candidate will provide specialized family centered care for acutely ill/injured infants, children and teens in the Beeghly Emergency Department. The Emergency Department (ED) sees more than 38,000 visits annually. Enjoy practicing in a new 35,000 square foot, state-of-the-art ED, that features 23 treatment rooms. Our Beeghly campus ED collaborates with the Akron campus which is a designated level 1 trauma center. Akron Children's Hospital is the only pediatric hospital in northeast Ohio that has its own helicopter and pediatric transport team.
