Job summary

CHI Saint Joseph Medical Group seeks a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Pediatrician to provide comprehensive pediatric care in Lexington, KY. You will conduct wellness visits, manage chronic conditions, perform immunizations, and collaborate with a multi-specialty team using EPIC.

You will support family-centered care in a collaborative medical community with access to advanced technology and a strong emphasis on work-life balance for providers.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Pediatrics.
• Active Kentucky medical license, or ability to obtain prior to employment.
• DEA certificate.
• Completion of ACGME Residency in Pediatrics.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-spectrum pediatric care, including exams and immunizations.
• Perform annual wellness exams, sports physicals, and acute care for illnesses/injuries.
• Manage chronic conditions such as asthma, diabetes, and hypertension.
• Provide diagnostic services including labs, vision/hearing testing, and blood pressure monitoring.
• Offer preventive care, counseling on wellness, and disease prevention.
• Maintain accurate medical records using EPIC.
• Provide and document treatment, referrals, and follow-ups with specialists.
• Participate in primary care division activities and quality metric improvement.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As ourBoard-Certified or Board-Eligible Pediatrics physician, you will help Pediatric patients of all ages in Lexington, KYreceive comprehensive general family practice careso they canachieve and maintain optimal health and wellness with a healthy work-life balance for the provider.

In this role, you willprovide a full range of health and wellness services. You will be expected toperform annual wellness exams, sports physicals, care for acute illnesses and minor injuries, manage chronic illnesses like asthma, diabetes, and hypertension, provide diagnostic services (including lab work, vision/hearing testing, blood pressure monitoring), offer preventive care (personalized consultations and health screenings), conduct well-child exams (including immunizations for newborns to adolescents), and provide seasonal support for allergies and the flu.You will also be expected tooffer mental health resources and supportto your patients.

To be successful in this role, you must be board-certified or board-eligible in Pediatricsand committed to practicing patient-centered medicine within a collaborative medical community with access to advanced technology.

Highlights of this role:

• Provide full-spectrum pediatric care


• Deliver wellness examinations, health screenings, and immunizations to support disease prevention


• Counsel patients on diet, lifestyle choices, and disease management


• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests such as laboratory work and imaging


• Offer guidance, counseling, and education on wellness, disease management, and medication adherence to patients and their families


• Maintain accurate, timely, and detailed medical records, utilizing EPIC appropriately


• Provide and document direct treatment for patients, including ordering medications, referrals, and following up on specialist consultations


• Participate in primary care division activities, including peer review programs, quality metric improvement, and policy development

Job Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution


• Board-certified or board-eligible in Pediatrics


• Active Medical License in the State of Kentucky, or ability to obtain prior to employment


• DEA certificate


• Completion of ACGME Residency in Pediatrics
