Qualifications

• Graduated from Radiologic Technologist program.
• Knowledge of medical practice and terminology.
• Ability to use sound reasoning and stay calm in emergencies.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and nonverbal.
• Knowledge of digital imaging.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (eCW preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and administrative support for providers and office operations.
• Obtain patient history, vital signs, and intake.
• Prepare patients for radiological procedures and take X-rays.
• Obtain high quality radiographs as requested by physicians.
• Ensure equipment is safe and compliant with laws and regulations.
• Maintain daily QC of radiology equipment at shift start.
• Record repeat exposures and hold log with dosimeter readings.
• Support radiology QA program and report malfunctions.
• Notify management of any equipment issues promptly.
• Assist distressed patients by alerting medical staff in emergencies.
• Assist in specimen collection and processing for testing.
• Support laboratory testing of patient samples and QA.
• Apply splints, ace wraps, and DME devices as needed.
• Provide patient education on crutch use and mobility.
• Be an integral part of the patient care team.
• Keep exam rooms stocked with supplies.
• Support team with related tasks as needed.
• Follow policies to maintain safety and confidentiality under HIPAA.
