Qualifications

• Graduated from Radiologic Technologist program.
• Knowledge of medical practice, terminology, clinic processes, and procedures.
• Ability to communicate clearly, calmly, and effectively in emergencies.
• Knowledge of digital imaging and electronic health records (eCW preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and administrative support for providers, patients, and office operations.
• Obtain medical history, vital signs, and intake.
• Prepare patients for radiological procedures and take x-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety.
• Obtain quality diagnostic radiographs as requested by physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants.
• Ensure equipment is in good working condition and compliant with laws and regulations.
• Maintain and document daily quality control of radiology equipment at shift start.
• Document repeat exposures and parent holding log with pocket dosimeter read.
• Assist in radiology quality assurance program for radiography equipment.
• Report equipment malfunctions to management promptly.
• Assist in patient care during emergencies and support staff as needed.
• Assist in collecting throat and nasal specimens and processing for testing.
• Support laboratory testing of patient samples and QA testing.
• Apply splints, ace wraps, and DME devices as needed.
• Provide patient education on crutch use and safety.
• Keep exam and x-ray room stocked with supplies.
• Contribute to team effort to achieve related results.
• Follow policies and procedures to maintain safe operations and HIPAA compliance.
