Pediatrics On Demand in Oak Lawn, IL, is seeking an experienced ARRT-certified X-Ray Technician / Radiologic Technologist. This full-time position involves performing diagnostic X-rays and supporting clinical workflow in a high-volume urgent care clinic.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience as an X-Ray Technician or Radiologic Technologist.
• Pediatric or urgent care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform pediatric diagnostic X‑rays in accordance with ARRT and IEMA standards.
• Prepare and position pediatric patients for radiologic procedures.
• Ensure radiation safety for patients, parents, and staff.
• Select and adjust technical imaging factors.
• Review radiographic images for clarity and quality.
• Maintain compliance with Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) regulations.
• Conduct quality control checks on radiology equipment.
• Maintain infection control standards.
• Triage patients, obtain medical histories, and record vital signs.
• Perform EKGs, Rapid Strep Tests, Rapid Flu Tests, and other point-of-care testing.

Skills

Knowledge of radiology safety protocols

Understanding of pediatric anatomy and positioning techniques

Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume urgent care setting

Excellent communication skills with children and families

Team-oriented and patient-focused mindset

Education

Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology or related field

ARRT (R.T.(R)) Registered or Registry Eligible

Active IEMA License (Illinois)

Current CPR Certification
