This impactful role involves managing wound care by treating and monitoring wounds resulting from disease, injury, or medical treatments. The WOCN will provide care to promote quick and safe healing of various wounds, including surgical openings, ulcers, bed sores, feeding tube sites, and abscesses. Responsibilities include assessing wounds, creating and implementing treatment plans, monitoring infections, and collaborating with staff to ensure effective wound care and patient outcomes. The role also involves coaching staff and participating in quality improvement initiatives.

This is a per diem position at NewYork-Presbyterian/Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital.

Preferred Criteria

• Experience in an academic medical center, including multidisciplinary collaboration
• Master’s Degree in Nursing
• National Certification

Required Criteria

• Minimum of 3 years of related clinical experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
• New York State RN license
• Certified Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse
• BCLS certification
