The Phoenix Center for Rehabilitation & Pediatrics is seeking a Unit Clerk for our pediatric unit to support admissions, medical records, and the clinical team.

This role requires a friendly, professional demeanor, strong computer and organizational skills, and the ability to multitask in a busy environment while protecting resident confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirement: high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with basic administrative tasks and data entry preferred.
• Strong computer skills and ability to maintain patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic administrative office functions including filing and data entry.
• Type reports and correspondences as required.
• Assist with admissions and discharge processes.
• Schedule resident appointments and coordinate transportation.
• Relay information to nursing staff and medical team.
• Maintain and file medical records per protocol.
• Prepare charts for new admissions and review for accuracy.
• Answer nursing unit telephone courteously and professionally.
• Monitor and restock nursing unit supplies as needed.
• Ensure accurate billing by tracking billable and non-billable items.
