Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a Pediatric Registered Respiratory Therapist for a travel assignment in Austin, TX. The role is 13 weeks, with 36 hours per week on 12-hour night shifts, working in a pediatric care setting.

The Peds-RRT will provide direct patient care, perform respiratory and cardiology procedures, document care, and maintain equipment per department guidelines. Required NBRC-RRT, BLS, ACLS, and 1 year of acute care experience; PALS and NRP may be required in some areas.

Qualifications

• NBRC-RRT certification is required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications mandatory.
• Additionally, PALS and NRP may be required in some areas.
• 1 year of acute care experience in a relevant setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to patients in varied clinical areas per guidelines.
• Administer respiratory and cardiology modalities.
• Maintain patient records/documentation.
• Clean, disinfect, assemble, calibrate and maintain equipment; report malfunctions.
• Perform arterial puncture and analyses.
• Collaborate with staff to optimize continuum of care.
• Respond to emergent situations requiring respiratory support.
