Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Pediatric Respiratory Therapist (Peds-RRT) for an immediate opening in Austin, TX. The role involves direct patient care across multiple clinical areas, with 12-hour night shifts and a 36-hour work week on a 13-week assignment.

Applicants must have 1 year of acute care experience and NBRC-RRT, BLS, and ACLS. PALS and NRP may be required in some facilities. Additional certifications may be requested before starting.

Qualifications

• 1 year of recent acute care experience.
• NBRC-RRT, BLS, and ACLS are required.
• PALS and NRP may be required in some areas.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in various clinical areas as per guidelines.
• Perform arterial puncture and analysis per procedure guidelines.
• Maintain patient records and documentation.
• Calibrate, disinfect, and maintain respiratory equipment; report malfunctions to supervisor.
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians and staff to optimize patient care continuum.
• Respond to emergent situations requiring respiratory support.
