Job summary

St. Louis Children's Hospital, a part of BJC HealthCare, is seeking a pediatric RN for a Monday–Friday daytime schedule. The role is full-time and benefits-eligible, with opportunities to coordinate care across multiple specialties in a level 1 pediatric trauma center.

Minimum 2–5 years of pediatric nursing experience and RN licensure are required; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred, with a Master’s degree favored for advanced roles. Join a team dedicated to excellence in pediatric care.

Qualifications

• Nursing Diploma or an Associate's degree is required.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum 2–5 years of pediatric nursing experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates health care for select pediatric patients across the continuum of care.
• Collaborates with the health care team to prepare patients and families for procedures/tests.
• Assesses patient needs and education, ensuring safety and evidence-based care.
• Monitors and supports patient outcomes and care delivery.
• Acts as a resource to the health care team and supports business goals.

St. Louis Children's is a level 1 pediatric trauma center. Our Trauma program optimizes care for injured children through prompt evaluation, resuscitation, and coordination of subspecialty services.

Role Purpose

Coordinates the health care of select patient populations/designated service across the continuum of care. Responsible for coordination of patient contact, patient education, prepares patient/family for procedure/test in collaboration with the healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates patient care by assessing and evaluating patient's physical, psychosocial and emotional needs.
• Coordinates the delivery of safe and appropriate patient care governed by evidence-based clinical practice.
• Monitors care and data to optimize patient outcomes.
• Facilitate the education of patients and families. Acts as a resource to the health care team.
• Ensures actions meet and support the overall goals of the business.
