Job summary

Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago is seeking a Registered Nurse in the Center for Transport Medicine to ensure safe, high-quality care for critically ill or injured patients during ground or air transport, coordinating stabilization and treatment while collaborating with the medical team.

Requirements include a BSN and Illinois RN license in good standing, with a minimum of 3 years pediatrics experience in a high-acuity inpatient setting.

Qualifications

• BSN licensed RN in Illinois, in good standing.
• Minimum 3 years pediatrics in high-acuity inpatient setting.
• BLS required; PALS/NRP/ACLS/TNCC preferred and must be obtained within the first year.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and direct care during interfacility transport.
• Administer medications per policies and procedures.
• Perform CPR, intubation, and tracheostomy as needed.
• Demonstrate proficiency with airway management for all ages.
• Coordinate with medical control and teams for patient status.
• Maintain documentation of assessments and interventions.
