Job summary

Phoenix Children's Hospital, Inc. is seeking a Rehabilitation Technician to support the rehab department’s daily operations under licensed staff supervision. You will help prepare treatment areas, assist with patient care, transport patients, and maintain equipment and supplies.

Strong teamwork and adherence to departmental policies are essential. Responsibilities include clerical duties, equipment rounds, and effective communication with families and staff.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Physical Therapy or Rehabilitation Technician certification is preferred.
• 6 months experience working as a Rehab/Physical Therapy Technician or other health related field OR have completed or currently enrolled in a qualified Rehab Technician Program OR enrolled in higher education in a health related curriculum.
• Pediatric experience in work or volunteer setting is preferred.
• Current AZ DPS fingerprint clearance card is required prior to start date.
• Current BLS Certification for Healthcare Provider from the American Heart Association is required prior to start date.

Responsibilities

• Prepares treatment area, equipment, and patients for treatment sessions and escorts patients as needed.
• Cleans and maintains treatment areas, transports rehab equipment, and manages inventory.
• Performs clerical tasks such as entering data on safety/maintenance logs.
• Performs miscellaneous job related duties as requested.
