Job summary

MetroEHS Pediatric Therapy in East Lansing is hiring a Clinic Support Specialist to greet families, manage intake paperwork, and support clinicians. You will coordinate appointments, handle communications with families, and ensure smooth daily operations in a busy pediatric therapy setting.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree required.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience (office management, work with children).
• Outstanding organizational skills.
• Ability to work with children, parents and/or people with disabilities.
• Strong attention to detail and time management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Committed to providing exceptional customer service.
• Proficient with general office equipment and computers.
• CPR certification required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome families, guide them to the waiting area, and ensure intake paperwork is complete.
• Support therapist–family communication and maintain continuity of care.
• Process and route mail, email, faxes for staff to ensure referrals/reports reach the right people.
• Coordinate client appointments and staff meetings to maximize productivity.
• Guide new families through intake and patient portal setup in EMR.
• Prepare therapy materials and maintain tidy therapy rooms as directed.
• Maintain authorization and billing readiness by communicating with case managers and insurers.
• Monitor inventory and manage supplies to support care delivery.
• Perform filing, data entry, and other duties to keep operations accurate.
• Take on extra projects as assigned by leadership.
