Job summary

MetroEHS Pediatric Therapy in Michigan is seeking a passionate Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team. The role focuses on assessments, evidence-based treatments, and caregiver education to support children’s functional goals.

Part-time hours (about 15+ per week) with flexible scheduling, clinic-based work, and opportunities for professional growth through CEUs, conferences, and leadership pathways within the organization.

Qualifications

  • State of Michigan Occupational Therapy License.
  • Current registration and licensure with NBCOT.

Responsibilities

  • Assess client needs and conduct screenings to determine function and rehabilitation potential.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans with measurable goals and adjust as needed.
  • Deliver hands-on therapy using evidence-based techniques.
  • Educate families and caregivers on home exercise programs for long-term success.
  • Ensure proper equipment and adaptations to support treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams for integrated care.
  • Monitor progress and adapt interventions to drive positive outcomes.

Your Impact

As an Occupational Therapist at MetroEHS Pediatric Therapy, you will:

  • Assess Client Needs:Conduct comprehensive screenings and diagnostic evaluations to determine each client’s current level of function and rehabilitation potential.
  • Develop Individualized Treatment Plans:Design personalized therapy programs with measurable goals, adjusting interventions as needed based on client progress.
  • Deliver Hands-On Therapy:Provide direct treatment using evidence-based therapeutic techniques to enhance physical function and mobility.
  • Educate and Empower Clients & Families:Train clients, caregivers, and support staff on effective home exercise programs to promote long-term success.
  • Ensure Proper Equipment & Adaptations:Evaluate and facilitate the acquisition of necessary adaptive equipment and supplies to support client treatment plans.
  • Maintain Accurate Documentation:Complete detailed clinical records and required documentation to support high-quality care and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate for Holistic Care:Coordinate with physicians, educators, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure a seamless and integrated approach to rehabilitation.
  • Drive Positive Outcomes:Monitor client progress, modify interventions as needed, and contribute to overall well-being through expert therapeutic care.
Qualifications
  • State of Michigan Occupational Therapy License
  • Current registration and licensure with NBCOT
Physical & Environmental Requirements
  • Active & Engaged Work– Kneeling, bending and playing at ground level.
  • Hands-On Support– Lifting up to50+ lbsmay be required.
  • Quick Reflexes– Ability to respond to behaviors such as elopement (running away) or aggressive actions.
  • Loud or Noisy Environments– Working with active children in dynamic settings.
  • Potential Exposure to Bodily Fluids– Assisting with hygiene or accidental incidents.

Work Schedule
  • Typical office hours are Monday - Friday. Flexible schedule about 15+ hours.
Compensation
  • After applying, a member of our recruiting team will call to review the pay range and opportunities for additional compensation through productivity bonuses. Compensation varies based on each clinician’s unique skills and experience.
