Job summary

Children's Wisconsin in Milwaukee, WI, is seeking a Pediatric Surgical Technologist to join a fast-paced, team-oriented OR. This full-time role involves 12-hour day shifts (7am–7pm) with weekday, weekend, and holiday call requirements; orientation is 6:50am–3:20pm for 6 months.

Candidates must complete a Surgical Technician program and hold a current BLS certification. Relocation assistance is available and a sign-on bonus up to $10,000 is offered based on experience.

Qualifications

• Must have completed a Surgical Technician program.
• New graduates and experienced Surgical Technologists welcome; pay based on experience.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for surgical procedures and assist with room turnover by arranging sterile setup of instruments, sponges, sutures, and other supplies according to surgeon preferences.
• Consult with the physician before the case to ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are ready; assist with sponge and needle counts before, during, and after closing.
• Keep current with technical advancements and professional trends within the operating room setting.
