Job description

Marshfield Clinic Health System is seeking a full-time BC/BE Pediatric Surgeon to join our established Pediatric Surgical Department at Marshfield Children's Hospital in Marshfield, Wisconsin. You will join an experienced group of Pediatric Surgeons to further develop the program and provide comprehensive care to our pediatric patients in Northcentral Wisconsin. This position is well supported, including a Physician Assistant as part of the team, along with all Pediatric Subspecialties available onsite. Responsibilities include training General Surgery residents in Pediatric Surgical Care. Opportunities also exist to lead the Pediatric Trauma Program and serve as the Surgical Liaison to COG if desired. The Marshfield Clinic Research Institute (MCRI) will support research initiatives if interested.

Marshfield Children's Hospital

Our 56-bed Children's Hospital is Central Wisconsin's only accredited pediatric hospital and one of only four in Wisconsin. It features the latest technology, over 40 pediatric specialties, and board-certified pediatric hospitalists, intensivists, and neonatologists. The hospital includes a 24-bed level 3 NICU with 24/7 neonatology support, a NICU nursery, an 8-bed PICU with 24/7 pediatric intensivist support including sedation services, and 26 pediatric acute beds, including 8 Heme-Onc positive pressure rooms. Marshfield Children's is an ACS Verified Level 2 Pediatric Trauma Program and a member of the Children's Oncology Group (COG). Certified child life specialists provide emotional support to children during their hospital stay.

Marshfield Clinic can support various visas, including J1 waivers (location dependent) and H1Bs (cap exempt).
