Job summary

Washington University Medical Campus in Saint Louis, MO, seeks a part-time Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to deliver direct care to pediatric surgical patients in inpatient and outpatient settings. The role involves wound and burn care, PAWS involvement, and coordination with a multidisciplinary team.

The NP will manage assessments, procedures, and follow-up, contributing to both clinic and hospital services alongside surgeons, residents, and APP colleagues.

Qualifications

• Requires APN licensure or ability to obtain licensure within three months of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification as required by hospital policy.
• Pediatric surgery experience or strong interest in pediatric wound/burn care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care to pediatric surgical patients in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Coordinates evaluation, treatment, and follow-up with the pediatric surgical team.
• Staffs and manages outpatient clinics and participates in PAWS wound care.
• Assists with inpatient postoperative management and discharge planning.
