TTUHSC’s Permian Basin Department of Surgery seeks a Pediatric Surgeon to provide comprehensive pediatric surgical care in a high-volume setting. The role emphasizes clinical excellence, professionalism and patient-centered care, with involvement in training medical students and residents.

Located in the Permian Basin, the program aims to expand the surgical workforce to serve diverse communities with empathy and high standards. Must have MD/DO and pediatric surgery credentials.

Qualifications

• MD/DO or equivalent.
• Completion of an ACGME accredited General Surgery Residency.
• Completion of, or in the process of completing, an ACGME accredited Pediatric Surgery Fellowship.
• Ability to obtain a TX medical license.
• Foreign Medical Graduates Only: ECFMG Certification OR Equivalency Certification.

Responsabilités

• Diagnose, treat and perform surgical operations on infants, children, adolescents and young adults.
• Provide inpatient and outpatient care of surgical patients with office visits, surgical consults and procedures.
• Collaborate with additional healthcare providers, departments and community partners.
• Complete medical records accurately and completely in a timely manner.
• Participate in the training of medical students and residents.
