Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center Permian Basin Department of Surgery invites applications for a Pediatric Surgeon. The role encompasses surgical care of infants to young adults, with 24 weeks of call at community hospitals, and collaboration with pediatric intensivists.

Qualifications

• MD/DO or equivalent
• Completion of an ACGME accredited General Surgery Residency
• Completion of, or in the process of completing, an ACGME accredited Pediatric Surgery Fellowship
• Ability to obtain a TX medical license
• Foreign Medical Graduates Only: ECFMG Certification OR Equivalency Certification

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, treat and perform surgical operations on infants, children, adolescents and young adults.
• Provide inpatient and outpatient care of surgical patients with office visits, surgical consults and procedures.
• Collaborate with additional healthcare providers, departments and community partners.
• Complete medical records accurately and completely in a timely manner.
• Participate in the training of medical students and residents.
