Job summary

Children's Healthcare of Atlanta is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join our Complex Spine Surgery team based at Scottish Rite. The role focuses on care of medically complex pediatric surgical patients within the spine service, with opportunities to expand into other orthopedic specialties.

Responsibilities include coordinating care across the surgical continuum, conducting pre- and post-operative telemedicine visits, performing inpatient rounds, and providing surgical first-assist

Qualifications

• Master's degree in nursing or bachelor's degree in medical science.
• Licensure as RN in GA or multi-state via eNLC and APRN/PA licensure in GA.
• Certification by ANCC/AANP/PNCB/NCCPA; Family Nurse Practitioner acceptable with CNO approval.
• BLS certification upon hire; PALS within 60 days for relevant roles.
• 2 years pediatric healthcare preferred.
• Doctorate level qualifications may be required for advanced practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient care management for children in inpatient and ambulatory settings.
• Perform comprehensive histories and physical exams and identify findings.
• Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests.
• Develop pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical treatment plans.
• Serve as an educational resource for patients, families, health care professionals, and students.
• Collaborate and/or consult with physicians and other health care providers.
