Job summary

Piedmont Medical Care Corporation is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) to join our Neurosurgery team with a primary focus on adult spinal deformity and complex spine surgery. You will work across preop, OR, inpatient, and ambulatory settings, collaborating with fellowship-trained spinal deformity specialists to deliver exceptional patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current Georgia APRN or PA licensure or eligibility.
• Appropriate national board certification.
• Current BLS certification.
• Ability to obtain hospital privileges and Piedmont credentialing requirements.
• Strong clinical judgment and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide OR first assist and perioperative care for adult spinal deformity and complex spine procedures.
• Perform inpatient rounds, coordinate care, and manage postoperative recovery.
• Conduct preoperative assessments and ensure required labs and imaging.
• Participate in ambulatory care and longitudinal spine patient follow-up.
• Contribute to multidisciplinary case planning and evidence-based pathways.
• Engage in call rotation for neurosurgery APP coverage.
