Tidelands Health is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to provide comprehensive speech and swallowing therapy across patient ages in an interdisciplinary setting. Responsibilities include assessment, treatment planning, and program development with documentation in EMR.

The role requires graduation from an accredited therapy program, SC licensure and ASHA certification, plus BLS with ACLS preferred. Day shift, regular schedule, and adherence to HIPAA and safety guidelines are expected.

Qualifikationen

• Must be a graduate of an accredited therapy program and performed the required clinical internships satisfactorily
• Licensed by the state of South Carolina Board of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Examiners, and active with ASHA
• American Heart Association Healthcare provider course with Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required to be completed within 30 days of hire; BLS Recertification every two years; ACLS preferred

Aufgaben

• Review physician referrals and patient records to determine speech therapy treatment required
• Evaluate speech and swallowing through standardized tests and clinical observations
• Develop treatment plans with specific goals and tasks
• Prepare written treatment programs based on evaluation and suitable interventions
• Evaluate treatment effects and adjust as needed
• Document progress in the patient’s electronic medical record and prepare reports
• Instruct patients and families in home treatment procedures
• Complete documentation per department guidelines and monthly audits
