Job summary

Family of Kidz is seeking a Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist to serve students across Hudson Valley, NY, including Orange and Putnam Counties. The role may be part-time or full-time, with compensation ranging from $90 to $100 per hour depending on workload and licensure.

Responsibilities include evaluations, therapy, AAC oversight, and collaboration with school staff. Qualified candidates hold NY licensure as SLP and NYSED TSSLD/TSHH, with autism experience preferred and bilingual abilities

Qualifications

• Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in NY required.
• NYSED Certification: TSSLD or TSHH required.
• Experience working with students with autism preferred.
• Experience programming Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement creative individual and/or group speech-language interventions.
• Administer and create speech-language evaluations.
• Collaborate with BCBA and Special Educators on language and communication.
• Oversee AAC devices for students.
• Apply behavior management strategies during sessions.
• Maintain professional communications with families and schools.
• Maintain attendance and billing logs.
• Create and maintain schedules.
• Collect data on IEP goals and report progress quarterly.
• Attend CSE meetings and annual reviews.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement creative individual and/or group therapeutic interventions for your caseload.
• Administer and create speech and language evaluations.
• Ongoing communication and collaboration with Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) and Special Educators specifically related to overall language and functional communication.
• Oversight of student’s Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices.
• Utilize students’ behavior management strategies and behavior intervention plans during sessions.
• Maintain professionalism with families, school districts, and other professionals.
• Maintain accurate and timely attendance and billing logs.
• Create and maintain schedule.
• Collect data on each IEP goal and reports on progress quarterly.
• Provide input and attend/teleconference initial CSE meetings and/or annual reviews.
