Job description

Orlando and surrounding areas, in homes, schools and daycares.

Work as a 1099 pediatric SLP or SLPA in homes, schools and daycares across Central Florida and Miami. You choose your caseload size. We fill it, because about 300 children are waiting.

The work:
  • Work with a diverse caseload: articulation, language delays, fluency, social communication and AAC. You will not be siloed into one area.
  • See children in their homes, schools, daycares and community settings. Our office is administrative only.
  • Coach caregivers on strategies they can use every day; families are part of every plan.
How the 1099 setup works:
  • You join AMP as an independent contractor (1099), not as a W-2 employee.
  • You are paid for each visit you complete. We discuss compensation openly in your first conversation.
  • No taxes are withheld from your pay. You handle your own taxes, and you receive a 1099 form at the end of the year.
  • You set your availability and the size of your caseload. Full-time and part-time caseloads are both available.
Your schedule and your caseload:

You decide how much you work. Tell us your availability and how many children you want to see, and we build your caseload around it, with families grouped close together so you spend less time driving. About 300 children are waiting across our service areas, so the caseload you ask for fills right away.

Mentorship and clinical support:
  • New graduates and experienced SLPs alike get clinical mentorship, so you never navigate a complex case alone. Documentation is electronic, with templates and training, and our team helps with scheduling and authorizations.
What you need (SLP):
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Florida SLP license (or eligibility to obtain)
  • CCC-SLP preferred, not required for all positions
  • Valid Florida driver's license and reliable transportation

SLPA applicants: Florida SLPA license or eligibility.

Nice to have:
  • Pediatric experience (new graduates welcome)
  • Interest in or experience with AAC
  • Early intervention experience
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish, Haitian Creole or Portuguese is a plus. AMP serves families in English, Spanish, Haitian Creole and Portuguese, so bilingual therapists are especially welcome.
Where you will work:

Therapy happens in children's homes, schools and daycares in the areas we serve: Orlando, Brevard, Lake Nona, Osceola, Polk, Hillsborough, Pasco, Miami, Seminole and Lake. Our office in Orlando is administrative only.
