Job description

Schedule: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday

Momentum Pediatric Therapy Network (PTN) is hiring a temporary Speech Language Pathologist (SLP). As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will provide high quality, compassionate, and professional services to children and their families.

This position is temporary and is based on Momentum's current needs.

Speech Language Pathologist Essential Responsibilities:

  • Promotes a friendly, comfortable, and safe environment
  • Respects and promotes the right of individuals
  • Identifies different communication styles to develop effective communication with staff, parents, teachers, and community partners
  • Provides treatment appropriate to the needs of child and their families
  • Tracks upcoming reports due based on the funder
  • Acts as a liaison between the funder (school team, family, etc.) and the leadership team to pro-actively identify areas of concerns and maintain strong relationships with the community
  • Maintains clinic documentation in a timely fashion, including daily notes in Raintree, and progress reports
  • Collaborates with other service providers, including, when appropriate, other therapists and classroom teacher
  • Performs other duties as assigned to meet department and/or business needs

Speech Language Pathologist Qualifications:

  • Master of Arts or Science degree from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) approved school of Speech Therapy; required
  • Meet the education and experience requirements for a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology, granted by the American Speech-Language Pathology; required
  • Strong Clinical Fellows will be considered
  • Minimum of one (1) year's clinical experience in Speech-Language Pathology; required
  • CPR/First Aid certified
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Read, write, comprehend, and communicate in English well enough to perform essential duties and responsibilities; required
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Possess sufficient patience and understanding to approach people and their desired wants and needs.
  • Communicate and work professionally and cooperatively with others
  • Successfully pass all post-offer, pre-employment screening requirements, including criminal background check, TB test, and provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States
  • Ability to run, push, pull, bend, squat, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs.
