A contracted Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available to cover a maternity leave from March through June at an elementary school located in Vancouver, WA. This role focuses on providing speech-language services to pediatric students within the school setting, supporting their communication development and educational success during this temporary assignment.
Position Qualifications
- Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in the state of Washington
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Experience in school-based settings preferred but not required
- Strong knowledge of pediatric speech-language development and intervention strategies
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and other professionals
Key Responsibilities
- Administer speech and language assessments to identify student needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with educational goals
- Document progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Communicate regularly with teachers and parents regarding student progress
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to individualized education program (IEP) development
