Job summary

6AM City, LLC is seeking a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist to support high school students from the start of the academic year through November. This long-term substitute role offers a meaningful chance to contribute within a collaborative educational team near Danbury, CT.

You will assess and treat students, develop individualized plans, and work with teachers, families, and staff to promote communication goals.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
  • CCC- or CFY-status eligibility and state licensure eligibility.
  • Licensure eligibility to practice Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Experience in pediatric, school, or healthcare SLP settings with adolescents.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to adapt approaches and collaborate with educators, families, staff.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for high school students.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans for speech, language, and communication.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support students in the classroom.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and participate in IEP meetings as needed.
  • Provide consultation and training for staff on speech and language supports.

Desired Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience in pediatric, school, or healthcare SLP settings, particularly with adolescents
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to adapt approaches to student needs and collaborate with educators, families, and support staff
